The two week seminar, conducted by NCIS officers from the U.S. Naval Air Station in Sigonella, Italy, was held at the Malta Police Special Assignment Group headquarters in Ta Kandija. The course included practical exercises on building and vehicle searches, crowd control, and unarmed self defense techniques, as well as studies of current terrorism trends. The joint Police/AFM training was attended by members of the Malta Police Special Assignment Group, Mobile Squad, Criminal Investigations Division, Immigration, and Administrative Law Enforcement.
