U.S. Embassy sponsors a performance in Malta by the American singer/songwriter Bonnie “Prince” Billy

The U.S. Embassy is sponsoring a performance in Malta by the American singer/songwriter Bonnie “Prince” Billy, taking place on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 8:00 pm in the MITP Courtyard, St. Paul Street, Valletta.  The performance is being organized by Stagedive Malta in collaboration with Kinemastik and tickets may be purchased at D’Amato Record Shop (Valletta), and Ciao Fra (Sliema), or directly from the concert organizers by calling 99459555/99242815, or writing to stagedivemalta@gmail.com.

Bonnie “Prince” Billy, who is renowned for his unique voice and songwriting style, will be accompanied by Emmett Kelly (guitar/vocals) & Cheyenne Mize (violin/vocals) and will perform compositions from his varied repertoire.  For more information please log on to http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=97799427308 or http://www.bonnieprincebilly.com/.

The Embassy will provide six free tickets to the concert to winners of a quiz competition to be held on August 6.  Three questions related to Bonnie “Prince” Billy and his music will be posted on the U.S. Embassy website (http://malta.usembassy.gov/) at exactly 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 6, 2009. The first three individuals who e-mail the correct answers to the embassy at usembmalta@state.gov will each receive two free tickets to the event, compliments of the U.S. Embassy.
