Dean and art historian from michigan tech meet with Malta's NGOs and student entrepreneurs

Dr. Christa Walck, Dean of Michigan Tech's School of Business and Economics, and Professor Kim Hoagland, architectural historian and current President of the Vernacular Architecture Forum, spent the day in Malta this past Monday. They first met with members of leading NGOs in Malta to discuss Malta's ongoing restoration efforts to preserve national historical architectural heritage sites. They then met with members of two entrepreneurial organizations, one run by students and the other by recent university graduates, about efforts to expand the university curriculum in technical disciplines to include innovation, entrepreneurship, and management to better prepare students to compete in today's global business environment. Both groups expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to have meaningful discussions with American experts in their respective fields and exchanged information for future contact
